My new friend Ferran, who is from Barcelona, taught me today that people with my complexion are called gambas, or prawns, in Spain. When we arrive we are all white but after being exposed to heat for a while, we turn pink. Yeesh. I'll never look at a shrimp cocktail the same way again.
